Run-A-Mucca motorcycle rally Winnemucca Nevada 2024 — VCMCo. at Road Rider of Reno

VCMCo. at Run-A-Mucca 2024 — Our First Year on the Racks and a Rally That Delivers Everything

Memorial Day Weekend 2024. Winnemucca, Nevada. Run-A-Mucca — and for the first time, Virginia City Motorcycle Company was there.

Not just attending. On the racks. VCMCo. gear proudly displayed at the Road Rider of Reno vendor booth, in front of thousands of riders who came to Winnemucca for one of the best motorcycle rallies in the American West. First year attending. First year on the racks. And I've been back every year since.

What Is Run-A-Mucca?

If you haven't been to Run-A-Mucca, it's hard to fully explain what you're missing. Winnemucca, Nevada — a small city in the high desert of Humboldt County, right on I-80 — transforms every Memorial Day Weekend into something that has to be seen to be believed. Thousands of riders descend on the town, the streets fill up, and the rally delivers entertainment from every direction simultaneously.

Bands in every open space. Not one stage — music everywhere you turn, every genre of rock and country and everything in between, all weekend long. The sound of live music mixing with the sound of engines is the soundtrack of Run-A-Mucca and it doesn't stop. Headliner this year was Drowning Pool.

Bike Jumps and a Burning Bike

The shows at Run-A-Mucca are not subtle. Bike jumps — riders launching motorcycles into the air in front of a crowd that absolutely loses its mind for it. And a burning bike. I don't need to explain why a burning motorcycle is spectacular entertainment. If you've seen it, you know. If you haven't, add Run-A-Mucca to your calendar immediately.

This is the kind of spectacle that reminds you why motorcycle rallies exist — not just to sell gear and drink beer, but to celebrate the culture in the most unrestrained way possible. Run-A-Mucca commits to that completely.

Wrestlers

There were wrestlers. Because of course there were wrestlers. Run-A-Mucca is not a rally that does things halfway. You want bike jumps? Done. Burning bike? Done. Live wrestling? Absolutely done. The entertainment calendar at this rally is a full contact sport in itself, and the crowd is there for all of it.

The Poker Run BBQ — Way Out in Paradise Valley

The poker run took riders way the hell out to Paradise Valley — a small ranching community north of Winnemucca, deep in the Nevada high desert, the kind of place that makes you feel like you've ridden off the edge of the map in the best possible way. A BBQ out there, surrounded by nothing but Nevada sky and sagebrush and fellow riders who made the same journey — that's the kind of experience that doesn't happen anywhere else. Paradise Valley is exactly what it sounds like when you arrive on a motorcycle on a warm May afternoon.

VCMCo. on the Road Rider of Reno Racks

Seeing VCMCo. gear on the Road Rider of Reno booth at Run-A-Mucca for the first time was a milestone. Road Rider of Reno has been a cornerstone of the Northern Nevada riding community for years — they were also the first stop on the Toha-Kammu Poker Run, and their support of VCMCo. has meant a great deal to the brand. Having our gear in front of the Run-A-Mucca crowd, on their racks, at one of the biggest rallies in the region — that's the kind of distribution that builds a brand in the real world, one rider at a time.

The riders who came through that booth were exactly the VCMCo. crowd. People who live the lifestyle, who travel for rallies, who want apparel that means something. Run-A-Mucca delivers that crowd in abundance.

Every Year Since

I've been back every year since 2024. That should tell you everything you need to know about Run-A-Mucca. When a rally delivers bike jumps, a burning motorcycle, bands in every open space, wrestlers, a poker run BBQ in Paradise Valley, and thousands of riders who get what VCMCo. is about — you come back. Every time.

See you in Winnemucca. 🍶
