My New Normal

There are always road bumps in life. And when that happens you get on your bike and you ride. This is what I’ve been discovering over the last few weekends. They’re short rides but they’re fun. My adventure yesterday took me on Highway 89 over Monitor Pass between Markleeville and Topaz. I lived in Carson Valley almost all my life and I’ve never been on that road before. And for it being the first time ever and the first time was on my bike I’d say it was definitely a positive experience. Of course I stopped in a dirt turn out...

Did some social distancing

First ride of 2020

It wasn’t long or unusual but I got the bike out and dusted it off and filled it with gas. Did the round and round and headed up Geiger Grade for a nice relaxing cup of Chai tea with a new friend.  That Saturday was the best day so far of this new year. Motorcycle People are crazy. The weather was just barely 38 degrees and hundreds of people rode to Harley in Reno with a toy for the tots. My battery died!  But a fabulous family came to my rescue and I learned a thing or two about my bike. We toured Reno. Rode under the arch and spent a few hours having a very good lunch and getting raffles prizes. I am enjoying my time with friends that introduce me to the world of motorcycle clubs. Street Vibrations -Carson City

What an great event. A whole bunch of incredible and fabulous people. What characters. Everyone has a vest with a patch or two. The biker women are in competition for the most bling on their shirt and pants and shoes and headbands. Everyone has one goal, to Eat, Drink and Have Fun. We enjoyed meeting locals and those that traveled from far away. My friends have been so supportive and wonderful. Can’t wait to see where the weekend takes us. Thank You Battle Born Harley for hosting.
